Hi, I like to keep conversations on the one page, so if you leave a message for me, I'll reply here; and if I leave a message on your talk page, I'll watch for a reply there.

<3 Edit

Hello Eric, i'm here to help you :) --Lilitha- 11:28, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Eric? :P Hello Lil, please tell us you are an expert in graphic design XD. If not you are welcome anyways :). Glad to meet you. Torg Snowflake 11:53, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Yeah Eric is what I'm known as in game after my character's names. And Lili is a dear clan-mate. Unfortunately like most of us she's a technical person, but she's still gonna help with lots of stuff :) --Onteron (talk) 17:19, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Cleanup and QuestionEdit

I really think you should delete some of the "old topics" in this page. I like keeping records but now is just one big mess.

Then I wanted to ask. Should we create articles for Tank/Healer/DPS/Tracker? I'd like to have some short articles about them roles, and links to equivalent classes in regnum online. Want me to create one as an example?Torg Snowflake 15:39, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Gah you mean you want me to make the decision on how to archive my talk page? I'd been putting that off for as long as possible. Ok, done! As for the other question, yeah sounds good, create the content and then we can decide where to put it. --Onteron (talk) 17:08, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
Done. Check Tank, DPS, Healer and Tracker. The idea is to help new players to find the common archetypes in the RO classes, and also give general ideas of the roles that can be played in war, pvp and pve.Torg Snowflake 01:46, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
I've wondered before if it's worth creating an article outlining the differences with Regnum for those who've played other mmorpg games. Anyway I'm now thinking we could create an article Classes to perform the function you've described, and combine all those articles into it. --Onteron (talk) 14:48, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Excelent! That sounds just like it :D. I was thinking in making it as open as possible. As for example, adding Bard, Assasin, etc etc. And explain. "Bards being aura buffers. In RO this role can be performed by Warlocks, Conjurers and knights, etc etc". Assasin, this role is usually for archers, marksman and hunter can both doing with such and that config and etc etc". I used bards but of course we would use the most common classes first. How do you feel about this?Torg Snowflake 15:45, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok go for it! --Onteron (talk) 19:06, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Create Page Gone?Edit

Dude, I cannot create pages... like... at all?. When searching for non existing pages I cannot create. The only ways I've found are trough broken links and entering "Help", "How to edit", "How to create" and then clicking on "How to create a box to create articles"... ideas?Torg Snowflake 01:48, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, well the way I've done it still works for me, which is: Search for the page -> then at the top of the search page it says "You searched for <pagename>" where <pagename> is a red link and I click that. How exactly were you doing it? --Onteron (talk) 15:34, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok I see your method works. The thing is, if I didn't realize that, then I guess a lot of new contributors will feel lost too... What happened to the old "X page does not exist, click here to create it"?Torg Snowflake 15:53, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok my attempts so far to find out what's happened haven't been successful, but I'll try again later. --Onteron (talk) 16:34, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
Success! It was removed but I've been able to put it back. I can't remember exactly what it looked like but hopefully it should be ok now --Onteron (talk) 18:52, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

I've redirected Armour to Armor, as it's the name used in the game. Now, the thing is we are gonna need separate articles for "Armor(equipment)" and "Armor(Game mechanic)"Torg Snowflake 12:54, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

I think it can probably all go in the one article, since there's not too much to say about the equipment itself, and we'll have separate articles: Breastplates, Gloves etc, each with a short description and list of items found in the game (as I've started to do with Short Bows). If we do need a separate article on armor mechanics, I'd go for "Armor Points". --Onteron (talk) 14:37, 7 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, so what we can do is use armor for the general, then individual articles for armor bits, and on the top of armor "Armor redirects here, for the game mechanic see "Armor Points".Torg Snowflake 15:36, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

Visit from the Big BoysEdit

I asked a helper to look around and tell us how we are doing. Here you can find what he said.

Basically, we are doing good, but he would like is to check if we can turn the main page into something more arty and less linky. I think that has always been your idea as soon as we find an artydude for it. Torg Snowflake 16:50, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Well something to remember is that a typical Regnum player isn't a typical gamer or web user, since they are mostly linux users. Also I'm not sure how important search engine optimization is to us (we're pretty much as high as we can be on google already), although it would be great to be able to see where our visitors are coming from (something we can't do atm but I believe we might be able to in the future). But yeah something a little more arty wouldn't be a bad thing. Ok thanks for that :) --Onteron (talk) 18:19, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Funny little thingEdit

Check this out (Cannot upload image here, but when using a browser the bar says " Regnum Online wiki - Ragnum Online etc etc" Takes a bit of our credibility out XD (Torg) 18:46, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Lol that was that Richard. Fixed. --Onteron (talk) 22:31, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

New PollEdit

I've been wanting to ask user what they think about the quotes. Any idea on how to translate that into a poll that will give a somewhat useful result? Torg Snowflake 15:22, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Hmm not sure I'm the best person but... are you really wanting something like "What do you think about the 'quotes' in the power articles? A) They're good B) They're ok C) They suck" ? --Onteron (talk) 22:14, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
I was thinking something more like "What do you think about the 'quotes' in the power articles? A) They're all good B) Some of them need some work C) Most of them need work D) All of them suck" Torg Snowflake 23:25, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok sounds good! Well if you want to change the poll now you can, they're really easy to do, just look for the <poll> tags in the front page code & change the text. (or see Help:Polls) --Onteron (talk) 23:34, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

List of items sold by merchantsEdit

Caradoc, Lymelia & me have decided to list all items sold by merchants in Alsius, I'll start to edit pages ordered by cities to start with if it's ok with you --Buldar

That's great! Do you have the data already or have you still to collect it? If so I can help you with that. Were you going to be adding the info to each merchant's own page? --Onteron (talk) 20:19, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
We're still collecting... I'm still studying the way the wiki works, first time user... If we need any help, I'll let you know thanks .... Buldar 20:29, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
I need help with the Template:New weapon box , I don't understand the "preload=Project:Preload Templates/(...)" directive. I have to admit that i'm a bit lost ATM with the wiki language, but I'm a willing learner ;-). Once we've created the Items, I think it's easy to add them to different pages, merchants would be the obvious 1st step. Buldar 09:19, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Hi, let me write up a project page and then I'll get back to you on this. --Onteron (talk) 14:27, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Ok I've written some things at Project:Equipment. Since this feature is going to require some planning I'd like it if we could talk about it in the IRC channel. (Just noticed you were there earlier but I didn't see at the time cos you didn't say anything :) Thanks --Onteron (talk) 18:22, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Damn, I almost forgot to tell you. Onte I'll be traveling for the next months starting on saturday. I'll tell you in more detail after the weekend, but just wanted to let you know it will hinder my activity. I hope not that much tough. Torg Snowflake 02:49, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Hey that's cool hope it's ok and you have a nice break. Sorry I've only just replied I've been busy and I'm taking a break from Regnum myself now so I won't be on here as much either, though I'll try to help with any problems. --Onteron (talk) 19:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Yo yo! How's everything going? :) Torg Snowflake 13:42, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Finally got a new password Edit

After losing my wikia password for a while, I finally found out which email I registered with so i could set a new one... Anyways, I'm back to help. Could you write a brief description of the Regnum Wikia though? (Under 250 words)

Hi Torin & welcome back. I did ask Jackalz to write a description a while ago and he said he did it, so i'll have to chase him up on it. --Onteron (talk) 17:37, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

Syrtis quest > 35 Edit

Hi, I just add some Syrtis quest from lvl 36 to 40. I hope this help even if the story part is not given PhL

Thanks very much! I'll do any cleanups required & add them to the quest list later. --Onteron (talk) 18:55, September 14, 2009 (UTC)

Icon redirects? Edit

Hey, I renamed Run Over to its current name, Steadiness, but I can't figure out how to move the corresponding power icon. Seems a waste to re-upload a copy of the exact same image just to get the templates working. Is there a more elegant solution to display the icon properly?

I'm a complete noob at wiki templates but I'm happy to read any docs you have around too.

Zergling565 06:48, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Yes unfortunately you can't move images like you can pages, so you really have to just re-upload & delete the original, which I've done for this icon. It is possible to create redirects for images, however I preferred to re-upload so that we have the icon with the correct name.
Creating a redirect is similar to how you do so for a page: you create the new page, eg: "File:Redirect.jpg", and then save it with the contents: #redirect [[File:Original.jpg]].
About templates, unfortunately MediaWiki is a terrible "programming" environment, though I do the best I can with them. The MediaWiki documentation tends to be rather difficult to follow for beginners, though and would be good places to start. You probably know most of what is on those pages already, though they also provide links to two other important topics: parser functions and magic words. You should also be able to look anything up on that MediaWiki site.
Please let me know if you need any more help, and thanks very much for all the work you've done in updating pages.
--Onteron (talk) 20:56, October 4, 2009 (UTC)
Thanks too for the tips and documentation! Next issue: I updated Syrtis quest table with the new ini zone quests and now it's complaining about invalid tag extensions. Alsius quest table seems to be broken the same way, and I can't figure out the difference between these two and the Ignis table. As far as I can figure out, Syrtis quest table won't throw an error until Ritual Sacrifice but I don't see anything special about this page. Could my changes to the templates have something to do with it?
Zergling565 12:55, October 6, 2009 (UTC)
Yeah this is an annoying bug in the software that's popped up in the last couple of months and has affected a lot of wikis. It's from not anything you've done. Wikia haven't been very helpful with this so far. When I looked at the syrtis quests page just now it was fine; on the Alsius page the bug had appeared again, so I tried the suggestion from here and added a space after the ending </onlyinclude> on the page and saved. That cleared the bug there - for now. --Onteron (talk) 16:45, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Hi, i edited the Khadra page because de "x" cordinate was wrong.

We finally have internet back and I'm adding my favs on the new lap. Glad to see you again guys :D. What are you working on recently? Torg Snowflake 16:05, November 3, 2009 (UTC)

Ignis low lvl inner realm mobsEdit

Hi, I've just noticed that a lot of this info is missing from the creatures table. In fact, there are mobs shown only for 9 lvls from lvls 1 - 30, and there are numerous gaps even after this. I think we need to work on this a bit more. Necrovarus 09:43, December 6, 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism Edit

Hi, just noticed a whole load of vandalism by this user. I was going to undo, but there are a lot and I thought you might want to do a more thorough check.

Weapon Templates Edit

I just got finished with the Alsius Quest Lost Valhalla in which the player acquires the weapon Frozen Whip. The weapon is different depending on your class, but the damage is Slashing/Piercing and Ice. (As seen in this screenshot) I tried to show both damage types on the Swords page, but it doesn't come out right. Does the Template:Weapon/damage need modified, or is there a way to show multiple damage types without changing it? Bullfrog245 22:34, January 14, 2010 (UTC)

I changed the weapon templates so that if there are two damage types, all you have to do is add "| damage2 = " and fill it in just the same a the normal damage. Example Bullfrog245 23:40, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

Map Zoomage Edit

Hi, is it possible to be able to zoom in on the map, based on the point you are looking at. It's very hard to get any idea of where people are located in towns, as the dot basically fills the whole town.

Hello! Edit

Hello, Onteron and anyone else who happens to read this. Im helping with the wiki ,sadly, mainly due to being annoyed at how incomplete it seems. I think ill start with npc pictures... Then maybe help with the locations.. I might not know exactly what im doing but I learn fast. Zale13 18:12, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Editing Tunic table Edit

I'm new to Wiki (editing it) but i do have information i can add. I gathered information about tunics, gloves, hats, mage item merchants in Alsius. But i don't really understand how i can continue that table about tunics. :)

Paradosa arcticus from Alsius

Welcome! :)
It's relatively easy to add items to the armor templates. I'll use the Tunics page as an example. To add Tunics to the table, edit the Tunic's page, then look for the section like this:
  | Initiation Tunic
  | Novice Tunic
Just add the new Tunics underneath the existing ones. So far, I have been sorting them by level.
  | Initiation Tunic
  | Novice Tunic
  | New Tunic
Once you do this, you'll see Template:New Tunic at the top of the table. Click on it to edit it, and use the information from one of the other tunics (Template:Novice Tunic) to get the formating. If you have other questions, please post :) Bullfrog245 20:33, January 22, 2010 (UTC)

Icon Trouble Edit

Is it just me, or is the File:War_Staff_Icon.jpg icon blank? I've uploaded several pictures, and most look just fine, but every once and a while something uploads blank, and I don't know why. The image I linked to is the same as File:Runic_Staff_of_Lightning_Icon.jpg, so if someone else wants to try uploading it again, let me know how it turns out.

As a temporary workaround, I modified the templates for Staves and Amulets (the only two categories affected so far) so that if "Name_Icon.jpg" ends up blank, you can upload again using "Name_Icon_Override.jpg" and it'll display properly. Bullfrog245 23:42, January 25, 2010 (UTC)

New Editor Edit

Hi all, I am going to be making a start on the Ignis side of the wiki. I'm starting with the Quest list, in particular the initiation zone. There are a lot of quests listed at the wrong levels, and most have their mob kills missing. So, there is going to be a lot of Red mob links appearing, and for now, I will just list the central kill task on the task list of each quest.

This has actually involved getting a new char (Going to put a Warlock in, for those interested)in the game, and making notes on a printed out copy of the old quest list, checking gold and Xp totals etc. Bonzodog01 11:49, March 4, 2010 (UTC)
