Parties are an aspect of the game that offer a few advantages to players working together. Parties can have a maximum of 8 players.

When the party is created, all players in it will have a "party" tab added to their chat window. This allows members of the party to talk to each other over any distance. Players can talk to their party by typing in the party tab or by prefixing their messages with a *.
In PvE[]
After joining a party the challenge level of all creatures will be reduced for all players. The amount of reduction depends on the numbers of players in the party and their levels. This then reduces the challenge penalty on damage done to creatures, effectively giving players a damage bonus and making creatures easier to kill. Parties are essential for killing bosses.
Being in a party does not affect the XP gained from killing mobs: the group (GRP) bonus is always given when multiple players kill the same mob. Though being in a party for grinding is recommended for the reason mentioned above.
